Why is the Church so busy pointing fingers at each other instead of the real enemy?
The other day I saw yet another debate on facebook between Christians on Christian ideals, and the emerging Church.
But like most, this debate with many good points goes on to the point of boredom and at best foggy understanding of why it started.
Then this thought hit me while driving. In war when a foe is captured their job is to keep the enemy busy and cause as much distraction and frustrate for the whole team from the inside.
So here is how this relates. The enemy is and was defeated at the cross! Now he is trying to keep us busy with each other instead of us reaching out in love. Because us reaching out to each other inside the Church means we will be stronger and more able to reach out to the World.
Christian church haters?
To make myself clear I am talking about all the “Christian” church haters. You know, the ones that sit in the pew and call others sinners. Or the people who put down others in the body to further their ideals. Why not focus on The Love of Jesus instead of the sins of others?
Why not forget the sin all together? What good does it do to tell someone they are a sinner? That is law, not Love, Jesus is Love. Jesus is the judgement of the law, it is up to Him to call someone a sinner, not us.
You might think that we are supposed to tell sinners they are sinners… well I would like you to show me where Jesus needed to do this?
The people flocked to Him and asked for more information. The women at the Well, was she a sinner? Of course. But what did Jesus do?
How He Dealt With Sin
He showed the light on the sin she already know about! Then that one interaction led to revival in that local area. She saw the Love; yes there was sin but that was not the focus!
What about the harlot? He asked her what? “Women, where are your accusers?” then She answered, No one, Lord! And Jesus said, I do not condemn you either. Go on your way and from now on sin no more.
People! The last thing we need to do is go around calling others sinners! We need to focus on what matters, LOVE! The love of Jesus!
Let’s build each other up! Go to church to encourage not to tear down!
Let’s do what Jesus did, and does!
There is one Answer, His name is Jesus!
He is Love! He is the only Way! He is the only Truth!
